I have spent the last two days reading all the posts about the Yoshi exhaust. My question is, is there a big difference between the Yoshi head pipe and the stock head pipe. I was hoping anyone that has installed the full system could maybe give me some input. They appear to have about the same bend, but I can't really tell if they are the same size pipe, or if the Yoshi is a little bigger. What I'm getting at is should I go ahead and spend the money on a full system or is there so little difference in the head pipe that I can be a cheapskate and just buy the slip on.

Thanks,
Mitchell

The header starts out the same size, but it quickly makes a set up, then another step up, etc. I think it ends up stepping up three times so that is 4 different sizes of pipe including the first. I will never buy a slip on b/c I know that I will make more mods later on. If you were to just to do a slip on and nothing else, then it will flow just fine.

Up to you, but I won't cheap out on HP :(

"""""The Yosh's first headpipe diameter measures 1.62"O.D., the same as the stocker however there is a perfect inner transition from port to pipe.

The Yosh's second pipe diameter is 1.76"O.D.

Third pipe diameter is 1.98"O.D.

Fourth pipe diameter is 2.10"O.D.

The bends and length are IDENTICAL from the stock unit to the Yosh."""""

Now in my research the entrance and the exit of the headpipe are the same as stock.

I copied this from another forum (forgive me) but I trust this guy and I based my opinion on this! It could be wrong, but I did say it is MY understanding.

That is way wrong. Like I said, it starts out the same, but the yoshi header ends up way bigger. Not arguing, just telling it like it is........

NOT LONG AT ALL. I WOULD SAY 20-30 MIN. YOU COULD DO IT FASTER IF YOU REALLY HAD TO. JUST REMEBER TO WIPE DOWN THE HEAD WITH ALCOHOL. MY BUDDY DIDN'T AND YOU CAN SEE ALLL THE FINGER PRINT MARKS AND ITS ALL FUNKY COLORS.

Just an educated guess (I think I remember reading about this?), but I believe FuelATV has done some more testing since last time dyno charts were posted...maybe :p
