ps. also not for nothing but i think we should add a section called the "atv yellow pages" with links to every atv online store and site that people can find.

nevermind. i called around and found one at a local dealer. never thought i'd see the day where a part i needed was almost impossible to get online but available right at the local dealer... usually the other way around...go figure.

I had the same trouble at a desert race race I just run in. I had to run twenty's on the rear so i got a RM250 sprocket that had the same spline had it machined to the same with as the LTR's and instead of running the keeper plate I run two circlips in the counter shaft groove. Worked perfect in one of the toughest races we have here in Australia.

It's the same front sprocket as the LTZ400 and RMZ450 - you shouldn't have any trouble finding one.
Do you really chase cows? On your LTR? Are cows fast? ...I'm interested in learning more.

The RMZ 450 sprocket isnt the same I'm afraid as it has the same circlip/nut setup as most dirtbikes whereas the quads usually have the two bolt style (z400)

Okay first off never speak ill of the cow or the all sacred Cow Bell. It is holier than any LTR on these forums.

From what other members have stated the LTZ400 front sprocket is interchangable with the LTR450. Seeing as everyone needing a sprocket in this thread now has one though that no longer matters.

God Bless the Cow Bell!

Yes the LTR/LTZ are the same but 13T front are hard to come by. So look for a DRZ/RM250 sprocket and they have the same spline but have a large shoulder on them and no threaded holes for the keeper plate. So you just machine the shoulder off it to the same width as the LTR's and use 2 circlips to hold it in place instead of the keeper plate.

P.S. I'll put my cows up against anyone's for two laps of the local MX track! I'll evan put them up against your sheep you Kiwi Clowns
