O.K. when i was looking into buying wheels for my wifes TRX i was sold on hiper, but what do they weigh? How much lighter are they? I also REALLY liked the OMF scalloped beadlocks. So i called a few companies and got the weight of their wheels. Below is the information THE MANUFACTURER GAVE ME ........ Direct from the MANUFACTURER.

Hiper Tech (non-integrated hub version)

10x5 outer beadlock - 5.5 lbs
10x5 non-beadlocks - 4.5 lbs
9X9 inner and outer beadlock - 8.0 lbs
8x8 inner and outer beadlock - 7.0 lbs

OMF scalloped beadlock

10x5 outer beadlock inner reinforcment ring - 6.5 lbs
9x8 outer beadlock inner reinforcment ring - 7.5 lbs

Douglas Wheels no beadlocks no reinforcment rings

Did Hyper quote you that or did you weigh it? I will i could really get the actual weights of a bunch of rims all done on the same scale. I just have wayyyy tooo much going on right now. So this was the best i could do.

Interesting numbers Steve...Hiper actually claimed their 10x5 single beadlock front to be heavier than I weighed it out at (5lbs 1 ounce).

Hmm, this makes me really curious to see what the weight of the standard douglass beadlocks weigh

Great info. I was just thinking about using my omf beadlocks with the new tires I ordered when they get here and was wondering about how much more weight I would be adding compared to the stock rims.

Anyone have a number for the stock rear rims on a Ltr?

oops nevermind I don't have the scalloped beadlocks I'll just use the produce scale at my local market-LOL

I weighed these with a bathroom scale also.... I had to weigh myself then myself holding the wheel/tire.

Thats the reason I will only run douglas ultimate beadlocks on any of my quads, they are the lightest out there that I know of. The only other sets I would run would be billet center beadlocks, but they are slightly heavier (according to Douglas themselves) and im not a pro so I dont think I will ever need the added strength the billet center offers.

I took the rims with rings and bolts installed to the post office and used there digital scale.

SSII's not sure which rims 16lbs 6 ounces

Weighed on the same postal scale as before but these numbers seem high to me. what do you people think?

Both on 10" rims I will post the exact sizes but I know they only make one size in the SSI and possibly the SSII...

hello0o am using size 9 wheels on my ltr . Do i have to keep the stock front sprockt or i have to change it to make my atv more smoother? i have attached a picture of the same tyers that am goin to use . the reason that am tring to change tyers is that to get more traction than stock wheels on the ground...
