I emailed ITP and to their credit had a response in about 1 hour!

They told me the 450 will have the same stud measurement as the LTZ400...

Is that 4X110mm? If so, wht180 buy a lottery ticket!

You know...I thought the same thing too. My wife just started riding in December 04 and I took her to a local area...she wrecked twice. Then we went to LS and she has not wrecked yet! Even asked me why in the world I did not take her their first...go figure!

LS has some advantages...sand is soft and wont hurt as bad if you do fall, a lot of small dune to play on to get used to it, and you can stay in tree-free areas...

Why take trash into town? We use the dumpsters at the park...is there something wrong with them?

What do the wife and kids ride?

Wife's current ride is a KFX700
Kids share a Predator 90

the dumpsters over flow and the plant friendly people are threatening to shut the park down.
http://www.glamisonline.org/ the notice is on the front page.

I just bought a Z400 and a trx250EX for christmas presents last week and the bike shop is storing them till the 24th. The kids don't even know whats coming in a couple weeks. :)

And I'm without wheels also till the 450 gets released of course.

I grew up in the Coachella Valley just north of Glamis and went throught a ton of bikes as a kid. My last bike (RM125) was sold about 6 years ago. I just went back home in October and went out riding with my family. Then when I got back to Oklahoma, I swore I had to share that part of my life with my wife and kids while they are still young.

Thats a good point about LS. I'll have to bring that up to the wife. Its just that we have a river bed right down the road from the house its near highway 9 and I-35. I see people riding there all the time and its only like 5 miles away.

You mean the dumpsters overflow at Glamis...right?

I did not see anything relating to Little Sahara (LS), OK...I am guessing you are thinking preventative?

Have you been to LS? I have never seen the dumpsters overflow in Cowboy Camp where we stay...

Wow, awesome Xmas presents!!! All you need now is a camper!

Our kids are 9, 7, and 1...how old are yours?

yeah I was talking about glamis in reference to the 4stroke wars trip you meantioned above.

I rode LS on a friends banshees a few years ago. We went out and back the same day so we just parked in front of the ATV shop and rode all day. Plus that was the first time I had ever ridden a 4-wheeler.

Who knows, if we get lucky and the 450 comes in before that, maybe we'll head out to LS on Monday after Christmas since the wife and I have that day off. Our kids are 9 and 12.

And I'd love a camper, they are just way out of my budget right now. I've got tents and access to the father-in-law's 16' utility trailer for now :)

I've been looking at 5th wheel enclosed car haulers and bumper pull enclosed car haulers. I really want to see how often we actually take trips to LS before I spend any money on a nice enclosed trailer or even a toy hauler. The thing is, it has to do double duty pulling my car too.

OK, clear now and I agree we were out there (Glamis) in October and it was not very busy at all and the dumpsters were full then...

We have a Toyhauler and we love it so much and I think we have actually went more often because of it. Before if there was a chance of rain or cold weather we would not have went in a tent but we go ahead and go now that we have the camper. Plus, it is really great for the 1 year old having somewhere inside to go.

Click on the link in my sig and check it out...

Hmm, day after Christmas...in the winter if it is a warm day we have been known to take day trips...keep me posted.
