im getting new hiper wheels for xc racing and wanted to get the best ones for xc racing anyone know whats the best size and offset im running ltz400 hubs and 4:1 offset hiper front wheels

standard offset, stock wheel or comp size with bead lock, tall tires with some sidewall to flex for the big rocks and stuff. you don't want to raise the center of gravity too much but you do want to run a taller tire.

my fronts are 10x5 and rears are 9x8.

I actually run stock honda wheels in the rear, inside out. Rather than a narrow axle

stock rear offset is 3x5 that means 9 inches wide 3 inches on the inside of the hub and 5 on the outside. So I don't know if hiper offers them but dwt offers a dual beadlock in a 4.5x4.5 offset if you run that you will loss a half an inch a side in width. The rim itself is wider but less rim from the hub out. I run those rims and milled 400 hubs and that puts me around 46 inches wide.

i dont want to be at 46in wide i want to be at 48in wide

That would have been nice to know earlier. We can't help you find the "best" wheel if you don't tell us what you want out of it.

What width are you at now? What tires are you running? All of this plays a role in the width. The "best" wheels that Hiper makes are the Tech 3's in my opinion. I can get 48" with Tech 3 4+5 dual beadlocks and ITP GNCC's. No other mods.

I'm at 50in right now sitting on all stock offsets and stock hubs when I out the ltz hubs on the rear is at 48in with stock offset and 4:1 offset in the front I wanted to know what's the best width for the tires in the rear I don't want change the offset of the rear wheels

ya not really understanding why the heak you would ask what is the best offset if you don't want be any narrow than 48 inches, you should be at 48 inches with unmilled 400 hubs stock axle and stock offset. 4 plus 1 for the front and stock 3 plus 5 for the rear.
