thinking about cutting fenders today what do you guys use to cut them and do you have any tips?

I used a brand new pair of tin snips. Tape it off and measure from various points to make sure its even and cut very slowly. Remeber these blades are made for tin so they cut through the plastic vrey easily.... Josh
If you want to see my fender cut then go to august QOTM entries and look at mine, they resemble Jason Dunkleburgers fenders....

easiest way is-

mask up the fenders to you rdesired shape, grab a 4" grinder with a 1mm cutting disc ind just follow the line you've made with the tape... the disc will cut thru like it is butter..
then run a file over the edge...

just be careful using the 1mm thick cutting disc they'll take your finger off in a second.

yeah I agree with darkchild, I always thought a cut-off wheel worked best. I followed up with a single edge razor blade for smoothness on the edges. Man I hate cutting new fenders, but for racing I like the more open view of my wheels and tires. Stock ones never stopped much mud anyways,

I masked mine off with Blue painters tape, then used a dremel with a cutting wheel. I then smothed it out with sand paper and a sanding block.

It's amazing how precise you get at cutting with a sawzall after doing doors, windows, hurricane protection, and etc.. for more than the last six years. Sorry if I just ruined the JOKE! It doesn't matter too much what you use because the only way your gonna get a factory lookin edge is with some 600grit sandpaper.
