How do you guys wash/clean your quads?

The dealer(s) around me leave em out more or less year round, so im figurin they are pretty ok to be powerwashed?

Atleast I hope so cuz Ive power washed mine everytime after riding so far, I use a lower pressure and try to use some common sence, but any other ways?

1 : spray down whole quad with hose
2 : get bucket
3 : put about 2 squeezes of dish washing soad ( polmolive is what i like )
4 : fill with hose/sink
5 : take GIANT spung and put in bucket
6 : go over the whole quad real quick with it so u get the primary stuff off, like chunks and all
7 : go back and do each section of the quad ( plastic, motor, a arms, shocks, swingarm, axle, ect.... ) endividuale get them really good
8 : do step 6 again just to make sure
9 : wipe off with a dry towel/rag
10 : take simple green and spray all the plastics , let sit for 2 minutes
11: wipe off the simple green with the same dry towel or a new one
12: spray on eagle licked car wax and let sit
13: whipe off for the best shine ever
14: let sit in sun

then go ride it and make it dirty again >:D

I do not like to power wash my quad. I think there are to many electrical componets exposed to use it. They will also blow off some of your decals. I prefer just a hose with a spray nosel on it and a bucket of soap. I use the Castrol degreaser stuff in the purple bottle for super hard parts to clean. That stuff is acid based and will eat through anything... burns like hell. ;)

hose, bucket with some soap or soap and wax combo, then put some kind of wax or coating on it to help washing it the next time, cuts down on wash time.....although I spend probably 45min to an hour washing mine even for a 10 min ride

Well power washing only blows out the O-rings if you point it right on your chain point blank... Anything further than a few inches just kind becomes a fast mist... Just cover up your electronics and you can power was it... But don't point blank your chain....

All i do is soak it down with water let it sit so the dirt turns to mud. Then i put my pressure on low-mid pressure and clean the whole quad, then to finish it i mix 50/50 (Simple Green/water) and spray it on the entire quad and let it sit for a few minutes then i rinse it down and then i air dry it.
