hey guys i decide to check my packing after 80 hrs on my pipes, because i felt my ltr was not as strong as it use to be

here is a pics of my rs5 opened!!!!

see what is left of the packing!!!!!scary!!!!
even the screen pipe (pipe inlet) is broken in two!
will yoshimura guarentie someting like this...or should they guaranty it??

i will need 9 rivets and the PACKING1 + PACKING2 and the steel wool....this pipe is getting expensive!!!LOL

They won't warranty it because there was lack of maint. They say to replace the packing every 10 hours so I'd say it's over due.

If you want them to warranty it just tell them that the bike only has around 8-10 hours on it and this is what it looks like already. Good luck, Nick.

u already have 80HRS? I'd be lucky to have half of that, by the way if it was a HMF then you'd get all that stuff repacked and fixed for free. MY HMF for the yfz cracked long ways and HMf did everything and now it's like a new pipe.

no sparky for me!

the problem is the inner sreen tube goes from a round shape(in) to a oval shape(out) but the flow is "hitting" the walls in the transition so they gaz goes "in" the packing and blowing evreting apart!!!!

When I pulled my sparky out it was in 2 pieces too. Humm wonder if I need to open mine???

Mine has fallen apart aswell. First my sparky fell apart causing a hot spot in the end of the pipe and turning the logo black. They send me a new sparky(new design) and I run with that for maybe 10 hours. Well I was lookin at my pipe the other day and there is a crack in the can coming from one of the rivet holes at the end of the pipe. I look into it further to find that the whole top of the can is like blistered out. This pipe has been nothing but junk since I got it. I like the look but its a big shiny turd as far as I'm concerned. Yosh is fixing mine then its goin on e-bay. I see a nice DASA coming my way in the near future. Couple quesions for ya Walty, whats are your mods? and when did you get your pipe? Is the end cap on it polished or brushed? I''m running a stock replacment UNI filter, PIM, Full Yosh, 93 pump fuel. I'll get some pics up tonight off my POS pipe.

guys good luck i got screwed royaly from them and ya my rivets cracked 2 and than the top of my pipe broke off well i was driving and then it caught fire..................2 and a half months later i still dont have a quad



what would happen if u dont replace the packing cuz i didnt ever on my fmf on the preddy
