I was wondering if you installed fast flexx bars, rath nerfs, the cherrybomb, no lid, baffle out would it void the warranty? Today i was riding after installing the bars, n rath nerfs and i rode for about 20 minutes and let it sit to cool down n to take break...well 5 minutes later i try to start it and it wouldnt fire..it just had a little click noise...but it would still bump start so i just bumped it when i wanted to ride...anyway i have the extended warranty and wondered if any of the listed items would void it...will the warranty cover a fried starter even? I am a little pissed that it's fried already but i'll be investing in a kick start here soon anyway...any help would be appreciated!

Doesn't sound like your starter is toasted. First thing I would do is to FULLY charge the battery and see if that doesn't fix it.

For some reason mine keeps on going dead if I don't ride it every week. If I skip a weekend and try and start it there's just not enough juice. I think it's a bad battery. I've got the dealer checking it out while they are doing the frame recall.

I doubt its the battery... mine was the starter. I took my CB off and put the lid/spark arrester back on/in.
They didn't say anything. I doubt the bars and nerfs and stuff would void the warrenty. Be warned though it took my dealer three weeks to get the starter in. It was on a national back order. Good luck with it.

Hey guys, I keep reading about this extended warranty. I asked my dealer and they said there was none available for a sport quad. Is there, and if there is where do I sign up?

I received literature in the mail from Suzuki for a lifetime extended warranty if memory serves me right. :D

Lifetime? That seems a little long. I got a 5 year extended for about an extra $400 when I bought. Seems like a lot, but I had about $2k worth of free work done on my old Raptor under an extended warrantee.

theeagles bike does the same thing but his dealer is replacing the battery at the moment under warranty.
Sounds to me like the battery isnt up to the task on these new models ?
His has trouble turning over intermittantly or when its cold.
Another recall ??

I am in the process of having my bike repaired with a electrical or mechanical fault as we speak.
As I understand it, Suzuki will not cover mechanical engine failure if the cherry bomb has been installed.
That is what my dealer told me but as far as he was concerned, if the cherry bomb wasn't on the bike when it went in than he know nothing.
I can understand this warranty void,
However!
Talking to Suzuki Australia, the cherry bomb mod was not really a concern to him, he asked if it was fitted at any stage and had any relation with the fault, I told him it has been fitted and removed when the bike started playing up and so there seemed to be no issue.

So the only warranty viod I have personally heard of was as I first stated and generally speaking, warranty is viod only when you replace or modify a particular part or related part.
eg: engine worked and gearbox lets go, warranty viod
New stearing stem and you snap an axle, unrelated warranty ok
There are probably alot of grey areas but that would be what you discuss with your dealer/repairer.
The starter should be still covered by warranty.
