Here are some interesting facts. After running the stock suspension numbers here is what was found....

Stock Suspension
Actual Wheel Travel - 9.2 inches
When suspension is FULLY bottomed the frame will be 2 inchs off the ground.
This does not give much clearance for tire flex.
If you are trail ridding or in ruff terrian a full chassis skid might be a good idea

These are some preliminary numbers for the NEW i-shock Long Travel Kit
(nothing is set in stone yet just an idea of what this kit will offer)
Actual wheel travel - 11.50 inches
When suspension is FULLY bottomed the frame wil be 2 inches of the ground
About 1/2 inch wider per side. So bike like will meet 50 inch width with stock rims.
20 1/4 inch shocks
adjustable caster ...... without removing the upper arm.

Well it will be about 3 months. Once prototypes are done they will be beat on by the test riders. Once final design is approved 2 months more to manufacture. These arms will be the chit. You can see a photo of the YFZ450 Long Travel arms in dirt wheels. This will give you an idea of what they will look like. The castor adjustment is bad azzz.

I am no test rider. I do ride hard and can give good feed back, but i am not doing any 60 foot doubles or anything like that. Just know the right people. i-shock has a couple top notch local pros that do all of their testing. Along with some trick azz data aquisition equipment. i-shock is for real and runs a top notch program. This stuff is not just drawn up. I am really amazed at all of the time, development, testing, and money that goes into every kit design.

New update ......

Shock length will be 19 1/4 not 20 1/4
Wheel travel will be 11.85 not 11.50
This set up will have a really good leverage ratio. I will have protype photos end of next week.

What about a rear suspension from them? Also will you be able to just buy the front shocks to fit the stock a-arms?

Man you will know alot more than most people about the products for the ltr, it will be several months before mags even get to touch the I-shock and even 5 months before they get a pipe shootout.
