Not bad...I like how they said there efi controller will include an o2 sensor. Ive also talked with guys at trinity racing on various occasions and they all say their dyno reads "high" so just keep that in mind.

That is the way I read it too...

Help me with the numbers...remove pea, lid, and add cherry and you get 8 HP for $40...

Install Trinity stage IV pipe and efi and you get 11? So you are getting 3 more HP for what $$$? I realize the 11 number is before air box mods...but the dyno has shown that is around 1 HP.

Am I not reading it correctly? 3 HP from their pipe and remap does not sound very impressive...I would think a pipe should add 4-6 HP then remap at least 1 more HP...

lol for the extra $$$ your getting better looks and sound :p Clearly that itself is worth it. Just wait another month or 2 and give pipe manufactures time for more dyno tests and then you can pick one. I figure an aftermarket pipe over stock with peashooter removed should add about 5hp with about 3-4foot pounds in torque, after all torque comes from shape and bend of headpipe. The aftermarket efi controller should give another 1-2 over just the cherrybomb. just my .02 cents

I can't help it...I'm the king of bling! :ihi: I did talk to James in sales and they are hoping to get about 15 HP final with the head pipe, can, intake & filter and the controller. Hope he's right...let ya know in a couple of weeks when they are ready

Well they did have the lid removed in the dyno pics, so it was getting plenty of air as well. My guess is the stock ltr450 header and silencer are pretty powerful...

3-4hp from a slip-on is completely average, most pipes really are in that range. It's the air filter/airbox combination that really bumps up the pony figure. Silencers normally make it rev alot faster, more than adding a raw hp number. Should be well worth the money

Cherry bomb $40 bucks
Trinity stage IV and EFI controller $799.98 http://www.trinityracing.com/products/suzu...uki/ltr450.html

So if they end up getting 15 hp, that's $759.98 your paying for that extra 8hp. WOW to rich for my blood.

Luckly for me I snapped my phib a year ago on my R6 and put on like 35 pounds. So if I lose the weight I should get the same power increase with a cherry bomb compared to staying fat and buying the trinity setup. If that's not motivation to get back in shape I don't know what is.

:x - anyone know a weight to horsepower average. You know like if you drop 10 pounds gross, how much horse power is that equivalent to gaining? Just curious.

kinda, Its 1lb of rotating mass is about the equivilant of 7lbs of dead weight. Thats why a lighter wheel set on a stock bike will often yield more gains on a track, drag strip, or hill climb than an exhaust system. Now thats on a track, not on a dyno. Thats why it pays to have a stand in 12 year old rider that weighs 90lbs sopping wet ha ha ha. My brother tells me there is such a kid out in Phoenix area that is knick named "the Jockey".

OK...day draws near. Talked to James in sales and he said the 24th is a valid shipping date BUT the Power Flow air boxes are running behind. Typical? Anyways, I have thought of a couple of points to bring up about the total cost...heck any dang aftermarket pipe & header combo is gonna run ya about $500 or more...intake box & filter prollie $150 to $200 and a programmer has to be about $150 to $200 so? Yes the biggest dollar to hp ratio is going to be the freebies. In this case thats props to Suzuki for some built in freebies. But if your expecting each and every upgrade to be equal? I don't quite think thats a reality that you can judge all your mods by. I build, restore and race cars on the side (67 Chevelle SS396 w/550 hp & 87 Turbo Carrera Slantnose w/450 hp) and we have the same issues when trying to coax a little more horsepower out of these engines. At some point you start maxing the ability of the engine to produce hp. Hell...if you really want to get you money's worth...we would all have NOS on the bikes since that produces the greatest return. I know this opens alot of arguements and thats not my intent here BUT...at the end of the day? Second place sucks! If a couple extra bucks in your wallet can console you?...We have a saying "How fast can you afford to go?"
And don't go yelling at me..lol...it's just my damn opinion! :!:

Junkie, I agree completely with the HP/$$ ratio...probably true in any form of motor...cars, trucks, motorcycles, ATVs, etc. It might cost you $500 to get the first 10 HP above stock...but the next 10 will be WAY MORE $$$!

But, I still say $800-900 for 3 HP above the frebbies and the Cherry does not seem right...I just think the pipe itself should add more. The other concern I have is Trinity's dyno, I have zero personal experience but reading the boasts on their website and ragazine adds then seeing real results on independent dynos, IMO they have some real integrity issues or a seriously out of whack dyno! So then I wonder...does there setup even add the 3HP over the freebies?

When you posted you were going to purchase I commended you and stated I would like to see some independent dyno information from the upgrades...I do not even know you personally but I would put more faith in your dyno results from a dynojet over what Trinity says!

This is just a personal opinion but when anyone dumps X$ into a mod...how many folks will really say it is crap? I will! So when I read someone did this and WOW it is the greatest pipe or whatever ever created I take it with a grain of salt...now, when they can show me the before and after on a reputable dyno...that carries a lot more weight with me...perfect example is with the 450R and the first gen Yosh pipes...guys that bought stated they were the greatest exhaust ever made and told everyone to buy them. One, many of those folks never tried any other exhausts to even compare to! Two, once the dyno information came out...the pipe was a total turd costing nearly twice the price of pipes making 4 HP more at peak and averaging 3 HP more across the entire RPM range!

Rocking, yepp...I agree with you 100% on that. It's a real kick in the balls to pay for something and have it turn out to be crap. I'm like you though...I will be honest with someone because I don't want THEM to go through the same garbage that I went through to get what they wanted out of something. I don't know about these guys yet?...But hell...someone has to be a guneapig I guess. It's kind of like movie reviews to me....I can't tell you how many times I have read that some movie is just a gotta see movie...spent the money and the best part of the movie was the stale popcorn? Same with parts...seems like you sometimes just don't know until you see for yourself. Gotta friend that has a Trinity on his Banshee and except for some BS about a backordered part he is happy with it soooo? Besides...I got dibs on the write-up and that will get me some stickers  And if the pipe looks as good as the pics?..Who knows?..maybe quad of the month?...huh?...huh?...ya feeling me dog?
:x Oh yea...and thanks for that write up on the sand tires. That was the most informative and well written string of posts that I have read so far...props to you my man. Now I can go out to Glamis and amaze all my friends with some more techo babble :?
Now...if you know of someone who has a dyno that we can do some runs on?
