i purchased a kit directly from them. upon installation i cuold never stop coolant seepage from the head gasket so i called them of course they never heard of this problem ( go figure ) btw my bike only had like 10 hrs max on the stock engine. so dj of trinity racing sent me a new head gasket & suggested i apply a little bit more sealant to the copper head gasket. did that but then it burnt the exhaust cam & cam journel on head after 30 minutes of riding. upon further review i found sealant had gotten into oil passageway via head bolt transfer to top of head. called dj again he said to send head & kit back to them for evaluation 2 weeks went by no answer so i called & spoke directly to harry said he would look into it 2 days later dj called & said sorry we didn't assemble the engine so no warranty. BUT WE CAN SELL YOU A NEW HEAD but my cost on a new head is less than what they were going to charge me. ASSWIPES

Yep had a similar experience with OLD Harry of Trinity Racing! He was supposed to do a Big Bore stroker engine for me, sent him all used parts- crank, cases that were Lapped precise on the mating sufaces, stock cyl., stock head, ect...
Jump back here to April 1999:
They were to do the work in about 4-5weeks. So I would have it back in time for the GNC races. Well it was about the 6th week and the crank was back from Crank Works stroked, ok, I thought you did stuff in-house? I could have sent it there myself?
Harry-Well not stroker cranks. They do special projects for me to my specs.

Rad.-Did you weld the crank pin? or static pin it, and true it afterwards? This was supposed to be done.

Harry- I don't know if they do that?

Rad.-Thats what was supposed to be done for racing this engine! I do that to my own cranks here!

Harry- Well I think it's done and I have the Cyl. ready, just gotta mod. out the cases yet.

Rad.- How much longer? I need that for the Open Pro Class in 2 weeks, and I have to assemble it all when it gets here. It's already a week over what you told me. How long yet? How many cc's did it end up being?

Harry-Well give me 4-5 days yet on the cases, and I'll send it free 1st day air ship. I think it's around 340cc.

Rad- What do ya' mean around? You know how much they stroked the crank, so how big of a bore did you use, I can figure that much out! I need this soon so ship it to my new address they have in your office now.

Harry-Ok, will do! It will be done and ready to ship free 1st day air, in 4 days.

Rad.- Fine, sounds good, thanks for the help Harry, see you at the first GNC in South Carolina.

Harry- Ok surf's up, gotta go, later.

Well needless to say I didn't get my engine in time, not only that ,it was 10 days later instead of 4.
I was already moved to the new address which was closer ship time anyways and they shipped it to the old address, shipping cost, 1st day air C.O.D. !!! Well of coarse it got refused several times I didn't know it was even shipped I was moving(closer to races that summer), and had no time to call "HairLess", and didn't want to bug him. I just took it for granted it would be there on time and thought Harry was good for it.
Huh, was I wrong! It went back to Trinity and till' this day I have yet to see any of my engine parts back!
I saw Harry quite a few times during that summer of racing and didn't get to talk to much to him or even get an explanation. He just kept the stuff. I didn't do credit card with him thank god!
I called a couple years ago to see if maybe he could at least send me a stock used crank back, and he hardly remembered the whole ordeal, and I never saw a thing back.
Harry ain't got a HAIR on his A$$ !!! ASSWIPES for sure!!!

uh oh surfs up gotta go!

you know the fact that they didn't assemble it let's them out of some liability... (what if a customer didn't torque the head bolts down?) but DAMN!!!

They could have met you halfway on this whole fiasco... like split the cost of a new head and they do porting for free.... *something* to keep you as a happy customer... Geezus!

And radzuki that's just effed.

I'd sure like to hear what Trinity has to say about this... Are they on any of the forums?

Well, they won't get any of my business. florida 450, you may want to wait a week, stock up on all these negative responses about them, and then e-mail them a list of all the replies they got from your feedback. At least that way, they could know that their horrible service is losing them business, and maybe they would get smart and improve their customer service. Plus, you could tell them that you would put in an update on this forum, if they changed their minds and took care of you.

Yep word of mouth is your best advertisement locally, now this forum stuff might work for nationalized companies better.

not to sound like an a$$ but its 7 years later and they still screwing people and still in business...it is BS....

i had a bad engine build experience around the same time. will tell you guys if you really need to know but would rather not cause talking about it got me screwed several times. i called another engine builder about this at the time and they agreed the guy was a TWEAKER then f_cking called him and told him. what kind stuff is that? eventually when i got my engine it was shipped upside down and of course the head was broken. oh there is more to. but whatever i guess. i already had a crappy day and to hear about sh_tty customer service has me freakin heated.... sorry guys i guess i just had to vent a little.

Savage- I hear ya' , heated! me too. Was venting a bit also with my horror story.
Harry might make some good stuff, but unless you're out on the west-side where you can get your hands on him, I wouldn't let them do anything,LOL. Some of you Loyal Riders out there in Cali. live right near or see him at the dunes occasionally. So thats an advantage 4-sure.
Just some more steam out! <_<

I know DJ @ Trinity on a personal level...they treated me right when their controllers were messing up...but I'm here in So. Cal also...thats why I went with them on some stuff...so if it all went in the toilet I could drive over and strangle someone...so I'll drop a dime on him tomorrow..don't know if it will do any good but I'll let them know they are getting beat up on the forums over their stuff..

I'll get back to you... :(

Not only does it ruin their reputation for each user (possible sale) that reads the reviews on this site, but EVERYONE that each member knows...and who each of those people know...word of mouth goes a long way. Not to mention all of the "guests" that refuse to sign up :p

That's quite a few lost leads :(
