Well I took my gas tank off to clean out the 2 filter that it contains and get it ready for my engine builder to put my new HIGH COMP piston in but it never showed up. So I got everything all cleaned up and put together and it won't start. The fuel pump primes, the lights come on for 2 seconds, then the FI light blinks non stop. It will keep turning over and over but no luck.

I don't think that it would even turn over if I did do this wrong but I siliconed the Tip Over Switch(no silicone got on the circuit board in there, just the pendelum)

If you guys have ANY ideas or suggestions please be sure to let me know. Thanks for the help, Nick.

Process of elimination. If you hooked all your lines back up good(they went *snap*), then your problem lies within your T/O switch I'd say. The T/O switch probably cuts fuel off so that would cause the FI light. Also, I can usually tell with the pump is running dry or pumping fuel........

Nick, your flashing light is a diagnostic code. There are about 11 different codes and it depends on what combination of light "blinks" you are getting...the blinks will be .3 seconds long seperated by 1 sec intervals
the whole code will repeat in 3 second intervals...so an example would be:
TOS Sensor Code 23 =
2 .03 blinks

1 second break

3 .03 blinks

3 second break

repeat code
code 23

Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor Code 15=
1 .03 blink

1 second break

5 .03 blinks

3 second break

repeat code...get it?

Soooo....we need the code...let us know what ya find :D

The light doesn't flash any codes.....All it does is just keeping on blinking the .3 blinks with no breaks. Anymore idea fellas? Thanks, Nick.

OK...magic manual says:

FI light turns ON and blinks *2
*2
The injection signal is stopped, when the crankshaft position sensor signal, tip over sensor signal, ignition signal, injector signal, fuel pump relay signal or ignition switch signal is not sent to the ECM. In this case, FI light is lighted and blinking in the indicator panel. Vehicle cannot run.

Sooo...I guess if the only thing you monkeyed with is the TOS...thats most likely your culprit :(
Hope this helps :D

Any idea on what I could have done wrong to the TOS switch? All I did was silicone the pendulm so that it couldnt move side to side. I may have to ask Kwad Gawd since he is familiar with the TOS switch unless you are too Junkie? Thanks, Nick.

Nick...sorry bro...I haven't taken one of them apart yet...there's HUGE section in the service manual about checking that thing out...I think I would confuse you if I even attempted to relay it all...PM me your address and I'll see if I can't get you a copy of my manual for "off site" storage in case my house burns down or something... :D

WOW, if you guys do the TOS mod.........PLEASE make sure you don't put it back on the frame mount UP SIDE DOWN. I guess the contacts were touching so it wouldn't start. Thanks, Nick.

That's an easy mistake to make... I'm glad you figured it out.
