A United States Marine was attending some college courses between assignments. He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU.

One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, "God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 minutes." The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am God. I'm still waiting." It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold. The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, "What the hell is the matter with you? Why did you do that?"

The Marine calmly replied, "God was too busy today protecting America's soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid stuff . So, He sent me."

I do not much get into our branch is better then yours stuff...we are all soldiers fighting for a common goal.

We all have a job to do and we just need to do it the best we can. Nice teamwork on the team by the way. That takes hours and hours of practice.

That's a good story, I have 3 friends in Iraq right now, 1 in Germany, and 1 in Korea. So I feel very strongly about the service. People that mention something along the lines of "i'm tired of the news on Iraq" sure do get a ear full from me.

I'm with you man, I did my 4 yrs. in the infantry!!!! And you know we were the best and all way's will be the best!!!! Hooo-Rah Now I'm not dogging on the other branches cause like ya'll said we all do the same job. Kick ass and don't even worry bout the names!!!! I'm just saying that there is a big difference between the branches!!!! Semper FI

In the Army currently in Iraq. I had a similar run in 2 years ago in College. Teacher was bad mouthing the military the first day in class then started asking people about themselves. She turned red when I said I was Army.

My cousin (Marine) is in town for 2 weeks from Cali and I had to call him up and read this to him. All he could say was "Hell yeah!!" He is coming up on finishing his 4 years and will be reinlisting in the next month. He just got promoted to Corpal and is going into training to become a DI.

There's a Marine, an Airforce Commando, a Navy Seal and a Green Beret sitting around a campfire telling each-other how mean and tough they are.

The Marine says - "I can swim 50 miles and bite the head off a live chicken. One Marine is worth 5 other men."

The Airforce Commando says - "I can clear runways one-handed and kill a man with my bare hands. One Airforce Commando is worth 10 other men."

The Navy Seal says - "Yeah? Well I can dive up to 90 feet without air, and I'm an expert in demolitions. One Navy Seal is worth 13 other men."

The Green Beret just sat there all this time saying nothing, stirring the fire with his d*@k.
