I'm still confused on what you are talking about.

Let me ge this straight.....You took your bike in to get the frame linkage welded. Did you get a letter? If not why'd you take it in?

Where do they want to weld the plate is what I'm asking.

Lastly, the Color-Rite Suzuki blue code is YBA.

so they called me and told me right now that they want to weld a black plate on my frame..???
and i said f.u.c.k. that! so i called suzuki and they said they would give me a new frame or paint it the frame color...

lil ltr450 please click on the below link and read the complete recall information...this is the same information your dealer receives from Suzuki...

CLICK ME & READ!

After you read that if you could point out anywhere they are welding a plate on your bike...you will then see why we are all confused. No one is mad at you, just trying to figure out what is going on because we are concerned about our bikes...cool?

If it is a completely seperate recall please call your dealer or Suzuki again and ask for the information...thanks man! ;)

I don't think you are suppose to take it down to Cooter's Garage in Hazard County. I think only an authorized Suzuki dealer is suppose to do the work. That darn Cooter, always trying to beef things up, lol.

Honestly though, your dealer sounds CLUELESS which to me - not a big surprise. Be sure to point them in the right direction before you let them touch a thing

It sounds like they are trying to be innovative, or whatever you might want to call it. When a simple weld-roun' the washer will do.

I would take your bike elsewhere. They could potentially void the warranty by doing whatever it is that they do.

good call...that's what I was going to suggest.

A 2nd opinion ---- go to another dealer.

Yes go to another dealer. If you have it done on your own and anything happens to it either right away or down the line....Your on your own but if "suzuki" does it then your totally off the hook!
