I just got my cherry bomb and I already took out the pea-shooter, so now I guess I need to take off my air box lid to finish it all up. Well I just cleaned my filter and oiled it before I went out riding(I still had my air box lid ON) and I just checked it out now, and the air filter is completely covered in dirt/sand!! I think if I take my airbox lid off, half the dust/dirt is going to get into my motor. I dont want to buy a K&N with outerwear, because ppl are saying when you buy that, your going to have to buy the ems thing(to make it run leaner/richer) Well tell me your thoughts on this, and any suggestions would be great also.

As long as the dirt is on the OUTSIDE of your filter...your gonna be ok 
yea but Im already cleaning my filter after every single ride even with the airbox lid ON. I pretty much have to, its dirty as hell when I look at it. I guess with the lid off, more dirt/dust is going to get on it, and I will still only be cleaning after every ride. So no big deal I guess, thanks.
