i bought one this weekend at the super sand show for 89.00 at the golden west cycle booth. retail is 129.00, so i got a great deal. i installed it yesterday. YOU MUST REMOVE THE AXLE. because on the floater rotor, it has an inner circle mounting plate that does not fit over the brake hub, so the whole axle has to come off. and good luck with the locking nuts or tightening nut on the axle that goes next to the sprocket hub, it has red loctite up the wazoo and its a pain in the butt to get off. but once installed it looks bad ass. i haven't tested it though, maybe this weekend. i do have pictures but the computer i'm on is a computer at work and for some reason it doesn't want to load the picture to the attachment section here on the site, but if some body would post them for me i could e-mail them to you, just pm me.

Looks nice let us know how it works after you try it out.

Looking at the pic with your axle nut it looks like you took a pipe wrench to it.

only thing that fit, my crescent wrench was no where near that size so the pipe wrench was the only thing that worked, and actually the pic makes it look worse than it really is. not the perfect tool to use but got the job done. p.s. thanks for posting the pics onesavage.

I got to test it out this weekend on a somewhat agressive ride, not exactly racing but not just putting around. first thing both me and my friend noticed was the squeeking of the rear rotor went away, he also has a ltr, and his and mine started squeeking only after a ride or so. besides that i mean it brakes just the same, maybe just a little less effort on the brake pedal, but barely noticeable. the most noticeable difference is the way it looks. the stock one looks like it belongs on a yamaha blaster, or one of those quads they sell at pep boys. all in all i glad i got it.

Aren’t they really supposed to help with dissipating heat? (did I spell that right?) So you should notice less degrading in braking as the race progresses... I broke my brake disk back in April and these weren't out yet, they look really nice.

Wow lot of big words their.

**edit threw the post in word for spell check.. yea I had spelt them wrong.

Yup...there's alot more airflow going through there, they don't seem to fade at all really from what I've seen with mine on.
