I tried this in the only stock peashooter mod Topic and no response...... So here goes again ........
:fro:
a. I was thinking of just cutting out around the pea-shooter, as far out in diameter as I can go,this way i would not have to weld or replace sparky w/ a screen, and the original bolts & metal gasket can be used again.
b. Then I would weld on a tail piece about 1.5 inches long just like on the LRD pipes...hmf ect .

c.Finally I would drill thru some of the solid area, between the gasket mounting bracket on the pea/s & the screen. To maximize air flow from exhaust outward towards the tail pipe.

1.Quest: Will the max air flow be achieved. for my lid--off & chip to run ok?

2.Quest: Will the tail pipe lower the db count.................

........................................

Come on budds I am going to start this operation soon

could use some medical advise here.

No $ for either LRD/or Dasa if sparky comes out soon  right now!

christmas is to far away !

What do you think?

PS any body have an extra p/shooter for sale Just in case

racerrx i just read your post in the other thread... cutting out a larger diameter in the very back of the peashoter wont do much. the baffle will still be intaced. also i think the inner part of the baffle will still be attatched to that part of the flange you hope to remove. the only thing you might achieve is taking out the glass and freing up some restriction. not worth the time if you are not going to completely remove the baffle from the spark arrestor IMHO. if you dont know how to weld just ask around. it only takes about 3-4 spot welds. someones bound to do it for a six-pack.
