Well in my quest to get a package deal on a stage one kit I called ALBA and asked about it,the answers I got were sum what puzzling (at least for me ) I spoke to Matt in the parts dept. and was told that they just received them in and were ready to ship. The price for the Alba complete pipe with the spark arrester,K&N air cleaner, pre filter, plastic air adapter, pre filter, and the Yoshi cherry bomb, was a very modest price of 480.00,The puzzling part for me is that all that I have read about the three mods will require a P.I.M. module in place of the cherry bomb because the quad will take in so much more air,When I questioned that part of their set up (Matt) with whom I was speaking with told me that  all of the testing they had done yielded the same results using the cherry bomb and the P.I.M.module with there pipe and air cleaner. What do you guy's think of all that???

Maybe cause of the spark arrester and they ran with the lid on...just a guess..You could ask them that or what the exact set up was. $480 sounds REALLY cheap, that means the pipe would be like $300-$350 range. Is it that price?

that does sound really cheap for a exhaust.
[/quote Well I didn't call them just by chance,I had a stage 1 kit on my YFZ,which I paid $480.00 for.It worked great had the jetting included ,billet aluminum adapter,K&N with a pre filter.Although I didn't own the quad for long to thing ripped and never gave me any trouble associated with any of the mods.I'm carious to see if anyone will try this and give a ride report on it!!

Alba has a very intensive r&d program as long as an inhouse dyno, I know for a fact before any bike leaves their hands it hits the dyno to make sure its running correctly. When I was there in June they were in the process of building the Zuki pipe and informed me that it was a little off schedule, now that I think it about it, it was way off schedule. Their stage one kits are pretty nice and inexpensive, they may not be the best kits out, but I would compare them to an hmf in performance.

Well said

I would have to say, that at around 44hp with the stock pipe, I would not run out and buy just anything in the way of pipes just to say that you have a pipe. Save your money and buy one of the top performers, Yosh, Rossier, Dasa and HMF.

Just another way to look at it. :)

i agree the rossier is really close to the yoshi for power (i think the peak on the rossier is a little more) and its a lot cheaper. i have one and they are a very good sounding and hard hittin pipe. the best part is they are only $430

well i got the kit already, due to the fact they owed it to me when i bought the bike there a month or so ago. well it comes with a velocity air intake kit with a velocity air filter and prefilter "very similiar to k&n", cherry bomb, and full exhaust. i installed the velocity intake set up , already had a cherry bomb installed, and as for the pipe it's sitting in my garage due to the fact i already have a yoshi so there fore i'm selling it. the velocity set up felt like it gains some power over stock but i did notice some backfiring, but it wasn't alot at all, very little, and thats when i let go of the gas while riding and don't hold in the clutch.hope that info helps.

That does more than just help,it's exactly what I was looking for, thank you!Now correct me here isn't your set require a P.I.M. or other controller to change maps and to receive more fuel. Also is your back firing caused by a possible lean condition

i run a velocity intake kit, full yoshi titanium exhuast no spark arrestor and cherry bomb. i think it does have to do with it running lean, but it's really not that bad at all, bikes usually tend to backfire once you put an aftermarket exhuast on it even if jetted correctly at least that's what my bike shop told me and besides i hear all the time coming from other bikes at the mx races including the glen helen national. i had heard my bike backfire before i put on the velocity intake kit, with just the pipe and cherry bomb, and now now that i'm thinking about it it did it just the same. but ido notice the difference when i'm revving it up and accelerating, it just accelerates faster and smoother. i don't think a pim is needed at this point, but i will be getting one in the next month or so, just to make the biker run faster.
