So I took the preload adjustment to having 4 threads showing, HUGE DIFFERENCE! So much nicer! Anyways, I remember reading about the spings or something and someone mentioning holding the springs so they didn't spin. Was this so they don't move from there spot when loosing the adjuster nuts or whatever they're called, or just to make loosening easier or something? I can't find the post again and it didn't make sense when I read it before because theres no rubber like on a car to have it a certain way...I'm just being precautious but I think I'm just being stupid

Dont worry about spinning it. With the back end elevated off the ground and most of the pressure off the back spring, I usually just spin the spring and nut together to loosen or tighten the preload. No biggie.

All you have to do is make sure that the spring still has tension on it between the preload adjuster and the bottom of the shock when the shock is completely extended. If not it could fall out of place (the job of the last spring in a multi spring set up is only for that purpose, usually, the purpose being keeping tension on the main spring to keep it in place, so it doesnt move. only if its a really small spring that is...)

If you are only able to spin it when the weight is off it, and it doesnt move side to side, dont worry about it!
