Sparks & Nmotion Dyno Talk

Some more talk from this past weekend.

We got to see an Nmotion exhaust in person. Didn't get to see it run or on a bike... but at first glance. the primaries are much smaller than on the YFZ version. Its a clamp together 3pc model just like the others. The finish looks good And the muffler is full stainless just like the stocker except its shaped similar to the yosh. It should look very nice when installed.

In talking to one of the dyno operators about a sparks pipe we saw a few weeks ago out there..... he said it was quite disapointing..... Out here (over 1000' elevation) the Yosh holds the LTR on a stock setup at 49whp. I think thats Clone's bike. Anyhow he said the sparks only pulled 46whp.

Myself, I'm still holding out for the ron woods camp. I'm interested to see what the Nmotion does also but with its small primary piping, I really doubt its going to do as good as the current top 3. But you never know till its mounted and strapped on the dyno.

Most sparks pipes I have seen are a low to mid pipe. That doesn't suprise me much.
Clone is the dyno King for the LTRs!!! SWEEETTTT!!!

Add that bike with his 130lb non-cheese burger eating self and you have one fast combo!!!

Good job Clone...wait till we get out there with our DASA powered LTR! Oh wait, never mind, I am too cheap to pay those guys for a pull there...If it is ok with you I will just go around and tell everyone our bike makes more power! Just kidding

I think it would be fun to buy 10 LTRs, break them all in the same, then dyno them all. How much spread do you think you would see between the bikes from lowest HP to highest? IMO, I think it is possible to see 3 HP swing...just my opinion but I think it is quite possible.

I agree Rob!

I haven't put the bike back on the dyno for a long time, but I know I'm easily into the low 50's on their dynojet dyno there. That figure I had before was with the airbox and stock filter. My custom intake with trinity adapter flows pretty well. I'd say 51-52 on their dyno no problem. I need to spend the dough and see if my mixture is close with the PIM.

So you are running a DASA pipe on your wife's bike now?

BTW, I used to be low 120's, but after spending the spring and summer in the gym, I'm nearing 130 now!

Yup i agree ..... one is always faster or slower. I bet a 3 hp swing is forsure possible.

I figured you would somehow chalk the power difference in the color as mine is white!
When are you going to be heading to LS next? I remember you saying fall was a really bad time for you...something about nuclear meltdown at the plant without you there...or something along those lines.

LMAO! Yeah, what would they ever do without me? They would be lost!

Yes though, we are refueling the plant this fall. Sept 25th is when I have to get geared up so an early to mid sept. trip looks to be in store. I need to talk with "da guys" and get a date nailed down. I'll let you know what we come up with. I really want to see and hear the DASA so that would be great to shake your hand again. :scoot:

Can't wait!

Edit: Also, I've been trying to get the 310R ready for the trip as well. It hasn't been cooperating with me though......
