This is Sonic Off-Roads demo quad.

I have been interested in this setup and when I sell my 3 Z's I will be doing this. Andrew with Sonic sent me these pictures this morning. He will have these pics and a video on their website soon.

Here is his report:

"I have attached several photos of the integrated front and rear independent suspension. I am truly impressed with the Fox Evol shocks. They are wonderfully adjustable and so easy to work with. After about 3 hours of tuning on Saturday we tuned the IRS to work with the front and it handle like a dream. I wouldn't be lying if I said it is possibly the fastest best handling ATV and the US. I am going to be posting videos of my racer flying through the turns and wooped out terrain like nothing."

My own opinion...Like he said...why didn't you get an outlaw...independent suspension is for cars..atv's have extremely small wheel bases and work fine with swingarms...also your switching to a shaft driving gear so more power loss, maybe I couldn't say since it still does run with the chain but not worth 3 grand to find out...it would be nice having more travel (maybe) and more ground clearance but if you wanted that set up but, my opinion again, your better off with a can-am 800 or similar...spend the cash on the motor then you can just fly over the bumps and forget they're there

1. I don't like Polaris.
2. The Outlaw is 47.5" wide and no way to narrow it. This kit is 46" wide. Only 1" wider than my Z400.
3. The 450 sits lower than the Outlaw.
4. I feel more comfortable on the 450.
5. I want the ground clearance and smooth ride.

As far as power: I will take the little bit of power loss for the ground clearance and smooth ride.

I race harescrambles and we had quite a few muddy races last year and I kept getting high centered on the ruts with my Z400.

The only thing the Outlaw has over the 450 IMO is reverse.

I agree, everyone has their own setup and opionion. According to utility guys sport quads are completely useless but again thats just a matter of a opionion and where the quad will be used. This set up looks well thought out and seems to work really well. Im sure it works wonders for those who wish to have that type of suspension even though it might not be ideal for anyone else. If i had the extra cash and thouht it would work for me...I would totally do it. But then again thats just my .02

I would love to take this for a ride, I think it has its place in our market.

The expense will keep it out of most peoples hands, but man I would love to try it out.

If I thought it was that much better I would cough up the money for it. So if this unit is truly as good as he says it is, a test ride should sell the product. So our guys at Sonic need to set up some Demos!

i would love to try it but would have the thought in the back of my head that it is still abolt on replacement for the swingarm , untill i see it physically i still image it is sorta a weak link
but hey i might be wrong
now that new 525 ktm outlaw ,i would buy , that engine is an absolute beast , it will definately leave the ltr behind in a drag race guaranteed , used to have a ktm 525 dirtbike that thing is scary.... the only problem would be ktms bloody unreliability , it would be spitting oil after a few months
