Well this past weekend my buddies(why I wasnt on lately) and I took a trip to Mammoth Mountain CA. We flew into Vegas then drove through the wee hours of the night to mammoth and the borded for 2 days. Then went back to Vegas and flew home. I seriously may move out there after I graduate. Its so beauitful out there. Pictures do no justice at all. Our hotel was at about 8,000 feet. The mountain has a 3100ft vertical drop. Enjoy!
We had a little run in around 4:30am with a cow in one of the open ranges. Thank god for 12$ rental insurance!
Brian, John, and I by the Mammoth. I kid you not it was about 60 degrees in that picture.
Thats me before we went down a Double Black Diamond.
Half of the view from the Peak. 11,000 feet elv.
Me again.
Looking down at the 3/4 Mark. Yes, you cannot see the bottom of the mountain. Hell, you cant even see the half way station for the Gondola.
More pictures from the top.
More of the 3/4 spot. (You can almost see the Gondola station. Its kinda burried in the snow)
More of the Cows hefty damage. Were lucky we slowed down enough to just clip it. ...and yes it walked away. ...and there was about 8 cows in the road, we managed to dodge all them. Once again. These do no pictures do no justice to the beauty of that part of the country.
And there was so much snow there, we saw burried trucks, and you entered most buildings through the second floor. The first floow was completely covered in snow.
