Skat Trak

Ok, so I have molded paddle tires at the moment, and yes they suck. I am going to be ordering some 6 paddle haulers this week for my trip to St Anthony's, and my dealer says they suck! I can't even pull sand mountain in Utah in third, it bogs so bad with the paddles

He says they never hold air and the paddles rip off really quick.

I haven't read anything like that on here, just wondering what is the reliability of these paddles?

ALOT of dealers say they suck because they just hate ordering from skat trak.
As long as you are in the SAND .... they will last a very, very long time. Call Joe at Fullerton sand sports. Then laugh at your local dealer as you SPANK him the next time you line up.

Skat Trak told me over the phone that I should go with the Extreme's. They said it was the same as the hauler but were made for the paddles to last longer (not riping easily when you cross the road, ect..) and the weight difference was almost nothing.

I personally will probably go with the sand skate I comp cut or skat trak extremes. <_<
Food for thought...... the extreme is thicker rubber. Same paddle depth. So the tire will be heavier. No big deal, but the paddles will not flex as much also. I think this flex is key.

Glider - smallest and thinnest cup = most cup flex.....less resistance = LEAST DURABLE
Hauler - deepeer and thicker cup = less cup flex more resistance = MORE DURABLE
Extreme - same cup depth as hauler BUT thicker = EVEN less cup flex and more resistance = MOST DURABLE

Just some facts ............. use them as you may.

Just to let you know, most dealers no nothing about sand tires. When i went to order my 6 paddles i actually had to argue with the person in the tire department because he kept insisting that i get a 12paddle  Go with the 6 paddle haulers, you wont be dissapointed.
You are soo right. Even most of the guys that sell sand tires have ridden most. They can just tell you what others are saying. ACE i recently bought some 6 cup hualers. I think they will be close to the 9 cup glidder. I cannot wait to see what one come out on top.

I am going to order them, because we all know dealers are idiots
I am going to make Kyle get them and my friend pay for them for breaking my quad. It's a perfect arrangment. :)
If you can afford it, get the triple super light buff as they weigh much less than a standard buff.

Baaahaaahaaahaaa!!!!

Scott I would most likely never deal with those folks again!

Fuel hit it right on the head...I went with the Extremes over the haulers because at LS we have to drive on quite a bit of asphalt...in theory the Extremes should last longer under these conditions.

I have watched drunken fools at LS do burn outs on the asphalt with Skat Trak tires and only 1 time have I actually seen a paddle thrown...

Consider gearing your bike appropriately to any tires you install...
