Alright guys...just wondering if any of you use something like the EVS or 661 shoulder braces. You know the ones that are just like the neoprene knee braces, but for your shoulder. Anyway, I rode yesterday and cased a step up and since I was dumb enough to be riding like that without my nerfs installed I got pulled under my quad and in the process had my shoulder slide partially outta socket. Ive had this problem before, unrelated to riding...I think "they" call it a subluxation...but thats just a big fancy word for partial dislocation of a joint due to streteched ligaments. Is this the reason you would wear one of these braces and do they help noticably?

Well my brother uses one since he has hurt his shoulder alot, but i do use a neck donut(neck collar) It helps alot sine it greatly reduces your risk of broken collar bones and any neck injuries. It takes a little bit to get used to but atleast if u crash your head won't get knock around.

wouldnt the neck brace make you more prone to breakin colar bones? i mean the impact has to go somewhere...and if its not goin to your neck b/c of the brace then it's gonna go to your shoulder..im just thinkin out loud here...ive broke my colar bone 3 times..
