Hey couldn't find anything in search about this but shifting with my wife's ltr from 1st to 2nd is tough.

It just doesn't want to go in.

I can't remember if it was this way before the Rekluse clutch or not. I think it was but I wrote it off as a new bike that wasn't broken in yet.

The bike still has a clutch lever on it but pulling that in doesn't make shifting to second any easier.

Just wondering if any of you have had the same problem.

I might take it into the dealer and have them look at it. See if it's warranty work. They installed the rekluse for me too so I'm covered as far as that goes.

thanks for any ideas.

No problems with our either...

I have noticed the LTR does not shift as easy as the TRX...I have found myself several times missing shifts on the LTR because I have not been firm enough with the shifter.

The TRX I can shift with my little finger and the LTR takes two fingers to engage it...I checked out 2 other LTRs and they were the same...not just going from 1-2 pretty much across the board.

some days mine doesnt go into 1-2or 2-3 good at all...others it fine...my guess is that the hotter the oil gets the more it slips..atleast thats what ive established it to be

hmmm... now that's the most interesting observation yet... wonder if I should switch to the infamous rotella oil that solves the tranny whine (her's hasn't whined yet)

And it's not really a matter of missing a shift at all, I mean that sucker just will not go into second without almost bending the lever.

It might be the rekluse I was just looking for anyone else that had the same problem.

Please keep throwing out ideas if you have them, really, really appreciate it everyone.

Not to worry you but mine started being hard to shift into second right before the tranny locked up. It would feel like the clutch is not pulled in, I feel the gears still turning.

oh good... fortunately my wife isn't a jumper so it wouldn't be a dangerous situation if it locked up.

I'll call rekluse tomorrow to see what they have to say.

We will probably move the shifter up a notch anyway like others did, it sits too low for my tastes.

too lazy to call Rekluse yet, we don't have any rides planned in the near future anyway...

I'll let everyone know what it was, thanks for all the tips and info.
