I had the same problem until I moved the shifter up 1 notch. It sits too low. What was happening was that I was putting pressure on it constantly due to it being so low. Keeping pressure on it would constantly cause me to miss either 2nd or 3rd because it just didnt' want to go into gear. Once I raised it a notch it worked great. You'll have to notch your sprocket cover for it to work though. I just took a 1 inch grinding wheel and ground it down some and it looks like it was made that way.i went rideing this Saturday and the ltr is hard to shift in two 2nd from first! causing miss shifts,and win i put it in N and turn it off and start the bike back up pull in the clutch and tri- too put it in 1st it will not go unless, i let out the clutch and pull it back in. this all started after the oil change and the other problem with the noise in my other post. o and the N light will not be on but the bike will be in N, :angry:
