OK guys. I plan on getting the LTR450 when ever it comes to my area. To you guys with the LT already...I weigh 235, is the stock suspension going to be fine? What adjustments will need to be made? I just getting started into MX and trying to build a budget racer. So in money saving options what do i have? Thanks

i do not have my quad yet but have talked to a few people that do and they say the stock suspension is stiff or firm(one of them weighing 215).they say there is more than enough adjustment to suit a wide variety of racers.i would say at 235 sounds that you are within the range.

I am your size also so I am wondering what everyone suggest for front and rear settings.

Guys,
To try and answer your questions, I have one and, I'm in your ball park range. I go 6' 2", and 225-230. I just got back from 11 days at Glamis, and the suspension was fantastic after you fiddle with your comp/rebound. It was way to stiff for me the first time out. Beat me to death. Came back in, and started to play with the clickers until I found the sweet spot for settings, and then I thought it was perfect. I've ridden, and raced for over 30 years. This suspension is more than adequate for someone starting out, or someone that has been around. LOL.

Im 6' 4" and 185ibs. Am I going to have to mess with the preload or just with the comp should do? I like to ride alittle bit stiffer cause I enjoy larger jumps :p

Torbinx,

IMO you will need to soften up the suspension. It's all according to how the quad feels to you, though. It was way too stiff for me at first, and I have 40 lbs on you. I would ride it first , then decide, but it was really stiff. The Qracer still soaked up big jumps afterwards anyway.

It's all about personnal prefrence and riding style. I'm 220 and have been throwing mine off my buddies 100'er and still backed the comp down three clicks and took most of the preload out but i ride pretty smooth and perfer a softer set up. I've yet to take it to any real nasty tracks w/ big jumps though so i may have to turn'em back up a hair.
