well i have decided to sell my ltr and get a dirtbike after riding quads i realize that i would rather be on two wheels i gave quads a try but it just didn't work out. so what kind of dirtbike do you think is should get i am thinking of getting a yz250 2 stroke or a rmz250 4 stroke.

dont go with 2 stroke. they can hardley compete with the new 4 strokes. there a total waste of money any more in my mind. my buddy had a built cr125 and he always got blown away by stock 250F's. this is coming from a former die hard 2 strokeman. stick with the 4 stroke. more durable and lot less maitainace.

I would go with a Kawi, Suzuki or KTM 250f MY bro has had 2 250f's and he loves them, he also has a kx250 and he replaced that with a kx450.

Not the ktm125, it's competitive with the 250s. About the only one that is..

oh and have fun going medium speed, sure bone stock a dirt bike will whip up on a quad but put some time in money in both and eventually the dirtbike cant get any faster but the quads will keep going and going and going.

I may be completely off track with this...but to me, it sounded like you were looking for re-assurance on keeping the LTR from the beginning. Not trying to use that against you at all...but before you even posted about keeping the LTR it seemed like you didn't completely want to sell it. I'd say keep the LTR, and pick up a side bike whenever you can afford it. Most people that switch from 2 to 4 back to 2 wheels always shortly end up back on 4 wheels again.

This is true...they don't call them a lazy mans bike for nothing...I still have a little bit of a hard time getting in the groove of a quad...after all that time on a bike...and for me?...Yea I'm going to get a bike again in addition to the quad...why not have the best of both worlds?...

Now as long as my wife doesn't read this?...I'm good... :p
