Heyo I recently went to the dunes over in eastern washington and i quickly figured out that its quite hard to get moving w/ out paddles I did have some old sand tires from my 400ex that i put on for a test run but the LTR just would not wanna keep momentum** above 4 gear so im wondering has anyone else had this problem w/ paddles if so how can i fix it? New tires(plz give name)? Gearing? ect ect

Thanks

OH boy...here we go again...

Most of us figured out that the 9 paddle gliders are the best tire out there...but as you will no doubt see very soon...everyone is itching to weigh in on this subject...

Best advice you can get on tires is to PM OKTRX...he's about the sharpest on that subject :D

I dont know about those 9 paddle gliders but my 8 paddle haulers are the shit. Ive raced my buddy with some gliders and whipped him up the hill.

i have 8 paddle haulers, and they are not the best tire. They slow you down up top if you dont have enough power and you dont get the wheel spin you need when you start out. thats why i went out and bought some 6 paddle haulers, ill see how those do next ride.

As i said in my first post thoughs tires where from my old 400ex so i need to buy some because they where to big and i wouldnt gain any momentum in 5th gear even on a flat plain, but yes i am going to be getting some next payday i think they are Skat Trak - 18x10x8 or somthing like that cant remember for sure but they will be 6pdl tires for sure.

anybody know how sand stars work on the ltr???? I have a line on a new set with C-series ITP rims... but havn't gotten them yet.... Right now I'm using a set of sand geckos off my Z400 and they seem to do the job.... I like to rip the top of dunes so the gecko slide pretty well IMOA... I wanna get a set just for the LTR now so any help would be appreciated...
