~When the LTR was new and stock it idled perfect from start to finish.

Right now i have no airbox lid, no baffle, cherry bomb, and unfortunely the stock filter (cant find one). I followed the motoman break in, and have about 3 tanks threw it now. The filter is clean and it starts after 2 thumps EVERY time.

The bike runs fine, but when it idles the RPM's go up and down! When it was new and stock it was perfect.

My elevation is around 500ft.

Im not sure if its running rich because of the Cherry bomb and shitty filter, or cause i dont have an aftermarket pipe.

Any help much appreciated!

With that combo it should be spot on... :(
Throttle enrichment lever sticking?...or fuel supply?...that seems to be a major issue these days so you may want to check that filter :)

It sounds like it could be a loose connection. I had that happen on my YFZ. The idle would go up and down, it turned out one of my soders was coming apart on the ignition where I had mod'd it.

There's 3 filters..one in the bottom of the fuel tank...one in the fuel pepcock...and the last one in the fuel pump...first 2 are easy...last one is a little tough...hope this helps :D
