Let's talk about gear.

With different riding styles, terrain, temperatures, body types and preferences... What is "best" for one - may not be "best" for all. But, atleast we can share experiences - good or bad - about certain brands and different items.

I personally would like some input on gloves -- I have tried Fly 303 -- for something thinner, Thor Phase, and Fox Pawtector. Haven't found what I am looking for. I would like a thicker palm that doesn't "fold" or crease.

depending whos around i ride naked
but i do use a lot of thor static gear. i like their gloves but i dont think they have too much palm padding. I havent had any bad experiences with their gear yet other than some color bleeding when you wash the gloves

I like the Fox Panther Pants because they go over the boot and are pretty confortable. I have also been through at least a dozen different types of gloves and everyone has a life span of about 2 months before a rip or tear happens. If someone finds a good pair of gloves that last please pass it along.

Shift and Fly pants are great for me. Four pants are of horrible quality, ripped them on the first ride. All these are or were the baggy style. As far as gloves, I can't find a pair that I don't rip the palm out after a couple rides. I've tried different sizes and brands. They all rip. Four, Shift, Thor. NO LUCK.

I hear ya' --- I have tried numerous different grips -- soft----hard compounds.
I am running spiders now -- they seem pretty comfortable. Still no luck with gloves though.

I like the new Fox Short Cut Gear. It's comfortable and great quality. The only thing I would change is I would make the jersey like a T Shirt or 3/4 sleeve. I find I get to warm most of the time. The pants can convert to shorts wich is nice. I am running the Fox Dirtpaw Glove and soo far no complaints. I find it very comfortable.

I usually just wear a jersy and gloves. I hate pants and think boots are 80% useless on quads IMO unless they are the ones specifically designed for quad riders. Anywhoo...Gloves usually fox paw protectors, but i have my eye on some awesome Troy Lee's that are supermoto style, (best of both worlds) oh and i usually buy them as snug as i can this usually cuts down on the wear on the gloves cause they dont slide around as much between your hand and the acutal material

It doesent really matter to me.. Right now I am running a old set of Shift. gear with a fly kidney belt.. I will ride any company that supports quading.. I am trying my hardest to stay away from thor/fox and so on.. These companys only care about 2 wheel riders... SUPPORT WHO SUPPORTS US... Thats just my .02. I love the whole idea if Four riding gear.. but I hear that it is cheap quality.. I also heard it is a side company of dirtbike company like No Fear or something.. Does anyone know? <_<
