Well I was looking for the BEST protection for my LTR's swingarm and suspetion linkage. Well I think I found it in the PRM skidplate.

Instalation was about a two Beer timeframe and was so easy even a child could have done it! The only thing I didn't like is you loose the stock chain guide.

With this skidplate you get full protection of the underside of you're swingarm!

And suprisingly you don't loose too much ground clearance with it!

All in all I like it and am glad I went with another PRM Product!

OH and BTW I know I need to adjust my chain LOL B)

To be honest the hose clamps look cheap. In my experience the impact from landing a 60 foot table top would snap those things right off. I may be wrong but only time will tell if they hold up or not.

I am also running the PRM rear skid as well as belly skid. I cased a 75 foot double twice this past weekend at a race in Oklahoma and I can't even tell anything happened. I'm convinced that it won't be going anywhere. :) Also here at home we ride a lot of trails with big rocks and it has held up very well with that too.

That is good to hear. Yeah I nose dived a 60 foot table top with about 8 foot of air. My bike flipped over 5 times and it only threw my plastics like 15 ft in the air and slightly bent my rear axle. Me on the other hand recieved a hematoma the size of texas on butt. I also got a hematoma about 9 inches long from proximal to the knee to the lateral portion of the ankle. Man am I sore. That freaking arm pump is more of a bitch than my ex-wife.............well maybe not that much of a bitch  !

How else is the the skid plate mounted??

Bolted in the back and hose clamp in the front??

Just seems not very thought out by PRM..... hose clamps expecially that type of hose clamps are just not very reliable.

Please dont take it personally i am knocking prm not you :)

How is the belly skid mounted?

Dose it have acess to the bolts to drain the oil? Drain holes??

Sorry for all the questions

thank you!!!

If you look at the pics that Armoks posted at the top you can see where it bolts on either side and also on the bottom. As for the belly skid, it uses a sandwich plate mounting system which is alot better than most of the other skidplates that just have the hooks that clamp over the frame. Yes it does have access/drain holes for the drain bolts and plug. I will try to post some pics within a day or two to show how it mounts and also how it looks underneath.

Here's to my first post! Read this thread and went ahead and ordered the full belly skid, the swing skid and nerfs. Pretty excited to pick up my WHITE LT tomorrow and race it this weekend in the WORCS series.

Awesome website... thanks!

Please keep your slower white LTR to one side of the track or trail, please. We that have the faster yellow LTR wish to race unhindered. I will try not to roost you too bad. See you in Payette, with my new belly skid and swinger skid. (and Yoshi pipe, and SRP Metals Stabilizer).
