I sent my shocks off last week to John at Mx-Tech for a revalve.
I have seen a couple of guys on here that have used him. But, I believe that all of you delivered them to John. I wanted to offer the perspective of someone that is not "local".

I emailed John a couple of weeks ago and checked his schedule. He was leaving town for the week, he told me when he would be back and said he could turn them around FAST.

First, the shipping weight on all 3 shocks was just over 31-lbs. Cost was about $11 for UPS ground.
I called Mon. to verify he received the shocks. GREAT guy....very nice.....He said "yes -- and the packing looks good". Since he just got back in town , he asked if he could call me back later or in the morn. --- no prob.

He called me Tues. morning, we went over the typical -- weight, style - terrain --- 180,MX...
" Oohhh !! you're in North Carolina" --- "Hard packed, red-clay -- alot of hard breaking bumps and g-outs" --- YEP !!!!!
He said "you will have them by the weekend." He told me he would include his contact info. --- including his cell # for getting up with him on Sat. or Sun. --- he said..... ANYTIME you have any questions about them -- dialing them in -- call me and I'll help.

So far ----- CUSTOMER SERVICE ----- A+

I will follow up with ride reports AND interaction with John.

Ok .... they came in Fri. ---- as promised.
Chalk up another mark for John.

I installed them on Sat. --- I also installed my new FUEL stem (VERY NICE) --- just ran it around the yard a bit to make sure the alignment was ok -- this thing hasn't even been cranked since the crash on July 1.

I could already tell a difference --- MUCH -- Much softer up top. Seems like it's going to PLUSH. I am about to install the Precision and then I am headed out to the track. I will give a ride report tonight.

I wish everyone a safe "ride-day".

OK -- I had a little trouble with the Precision -- it was missing the parts used to move the brake T back. I PM'd my buddy Junkie and he helped me out -- gave me the specs of the bolt and spacer needed.
Other than that --- installing the Precision is a piece of cake. AND What a diffence it makes.
Guess I will throw in another review about that.

SO........ the shocks.

WOW !!!!!!!!!!! I told John I wanted them soft. A XC ride with MX jumping capabilities. Just leave me room to firm them up. I did not touch them for this ride. Straight out the box.

You get on and it actually sinks. The ride is absolutely phenomenal !!! Totally different. No more pushing in the corners. No more rear-end bucking over hard braking bumps. This Quad NOW feels like an aftermarket built machine.

I bottomed once --- the 65 footer I crashed on in July -- It's a triple table -- landing at 30' -- flat step down -- then the landing at 65'. It takes all of 3rd to hit the sweet spot (about 70') -- I just couldn't "hit it" .
Call me a chickenshit .... I have hit that jump 100's of times, but the last time I "HIT IT" -- I left in an ambulance. ANYWAY ... 30' is just too short -- you can roll that -- SO I kept Flat landing just shy of the "real" landing area. NOT BAD THOUGH -- It bottomed once -- BUT No bouncing.

Let me sum it up like this...........

You know what the "cherry bomb" mod did to your motor --- The revlave does that to your suspension.
HUGE difference.

HIGHLY suggested.

If you do it....give John at MX-TECH a shout.

I need to get the invoice out to give an exact figure. But, I believe the re-valve was $400 for all 3.

He really "listens" to what you want/need -- he has a "shock dyno" that is supposed to be the s###.
