O.K. I have seen a lot of people talking about how you got your quads muddy and can't get them as clean as new again. I have a tip. After you wash and dry the quad, use a cloth and some Pledge wood cleaner to wipe down the plastic. This will restore the shine, and when you get it dirty again, the mud will practically fall off when you wash the quad. The Pledge forms a protective film over the plastic so mud won't stick when you wash, and it protects the machine from scratches too. Be sure to wipe down the quad every other time that you wash it. The film will wear down over time, so you have to maintain it.

Also, spray bumpers, skidplates, etc. with cooking spray. This will have the same effect as the pledge. BE CAREFUL! I do not know the effects of this on painted or powdercoated parts, so watch where you're spraying.

I use silicon spray for my plastic, it works great for rub marks on the plastic and colored seats.

I bought a gallon of WD40 and spray and let it dry on the frame, chrome, motor, etc after I wash my quads. It resists rusting and lets the mud fall right off from the next ride. Just use an old spray bottle (like windex or simple green). I'll try using pledge on my plastics next...

This is what one of my buddies does. It works pretty good, but just be careful not to spray it on the brake pads and rotors. He found that out the hard way when he went through a wooden fence! :?:

My brother uses Son of a Gun. It really helps to shine up plastic that has become dull. It made his YFZ look 100 times better.

Beside using Silicon spray, I also use MAGUIARS cleaner wax, whoooo buttery smooth and now i'm going to try PRESTONE high protection wax. Also some Eagle one NEVER DULL on rims, alum. finished nerfs, bumpers, grab bars, axle, ETC.
