Probably A Dumb Handlebar Question

1189 Views 8 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  OKTRX450R
Yesterday when I was stripping everything off of my stock bars (bent) I noticed a hole drilled in the bars right where the fuel enrich knob is at. My question is for the guys with aftermarket bars. Are there aftermarket bars with this hole predrilled? Did you move or remove the enrich knob? I just want to save my self any hassle I can. Any input would be great. Thanks

aftermarket bars will work even if they dont have a hole drilled in them
Take a Dremel tool and sand that little knob off the inside of that light switch...it will work just fine...thats what everyone that keeps their light switch has to do... :D
Right on. Thanks guys
yep i watched junkie perform this operation on a couple machines :) except mine
Next time your down...
just like junkie said sand, grind it off or if you want get it where you want it and drill your own hole. but i grind the tit off.

Dude i would drill the hole or your control will spin on the bar
i have drilled holes you will not lose any integrity in them.
I drill a hole in the new bars too...

We have a friend with a YFZ and his controls (light, starter, kill) all spin on the bars after he sanded his off...tried the electrical tape, tried gorilla glue, still spins.

Our KFX is the same way...spins...

On the LTR I drilled the hole and it has been working great...
