I installed the Pro-Design intake on my quad last night.

It was a complete Pain in the A$$, and took about 2 hours, considering I had to remove the airbox, which meant taking the pipe off, along with everything else attached to the subframe.

In theory it looks like it should flow some more air. The intake is a tad bigger than stock, and it now uses a clamp on filter which is nice.

I am going riding tonight I will let everyone know how it works.

For all the bad things I have done, The amount of swearing I did taking that pipe apart is going to send me over the edge with a one way ticket to you know where!

That was the hardest part of the installation.

I got to ride last night on the track and it was worth every Penny!

The power comes on so much stronger, and it pulls harder.

I had my Pro Design installed in less than an hour and I though the back end of the LTR was easy to take apart.

I installed the Pro Design intake this weekend and man what a difference it made. I suggest the aftermarket intake 4 sure. In my opinion the intake mod is number #2 in least expensive mods of course number #1 the cherrybomb.

The stock filter mounting system is junk, I don't understand why they can just make it a hose clamp type of mount. I was just thinking about this today, I think I'll be doing the Pro Design intake as well.

I imagine the actual filter is much bigger? I can't wait.

Thats sweet -- you can buy one of each and try both -- or run the foam when its really dusty.
I am still questioning yanking the whole airbox off.

Rob, here is the best pics I can dig up of the prodesign

As you can see, you are still using the stock plastic clamp on for the intake boot.... this just allows the filter to be clamped on. No velocity increasing going on.. just a straight tube. The plate must seal with an o'ring to the inside of the A/B.

Now, the competition.....

This allows you to clamp the intake boot as well as the filter to the billet piece. The biggest seller to me is the velocity increasing billet piece. Very nice transition from the filter to the boot.

I see a clear distinction in which is better......

Thank you very much Clone...excellent post!

Junkie, are you done measuring yet? :smiley_1poke:
Cernics can you get a measurement on the ProDesign?

Also, just a note, the Trinity is 2* the price of the ProDesign...
