Has anyone with a Pro Armor chassis skid plate had a problem with it coming loose or bending the flimsy aluminum brackets? I have them tight (to the point I snapped one of the bolts off) but they don't seem to bo holding it secure to the frame. two days ago I busted off the oil line the goes into/comes out of the magneto cover. Of course the line is fine, but it broke the threaded part of the cover right off. I thought about using electrical conduit clamps but that will be a pain to install/remove.

I JUST GOT MINE AND JUST BOLTED IT UP, BUT HAVE NOT EVEN BEEN ABLE TO RIDE. SINCE I JUST GOT THE BIKE ON SATURDAY,BUT TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION MY BROTHER HAS A PRO ARMOR SKID PLATE ON HIS TRX450R AND HAS HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE HOOKS THAT HOLD ONTO THE FRAME HE ACTUALLY LOST ONE DURING RIDING. SO HE CALLED PRO ARMOR AND THEY SHIPPED HIM A NEW HOOK, BUT I DON'T REMEMBER IF THEY CHARGED HIM FOR IT.

blue locktite doesn't make it any harder to get the bolts back off. red locktite is a whole different story. i use permatex blue gel locktite. i like the gel 1,000,000,000,000,000 times better than the liquid. and you also get way more for your money with the gel and it stays where you put it, doesn't run down the bolt as your trying to screw it in.

with the amount of vibrations this or any quad has, bolts are almost guaranteed to come loose as some point. Loctite will solve ALL your problems. You might want to periodically check your exhaust mounting bolts too....
