I got my precision stabilizer I ordered from FUELATV today, and it was money well spent. This thing is worth every penny and suggest it to everybody.
Heres a pic

I want one too, but i can only afford one under $150, and some people say any stabalizer is better than no stabalizer.

Nice stabilizer as you will be happy with it. I just could'nt help noticing where you have that CRB zip tied. You should zip that up out of the way under your plastics for protection. Just my 2 cents.

I guess he wanted to keep the wires as straight as possible and let people see he has one.

what i liked was he zip tied the cherry bomb itself and not the wire....

I have seen it done either way. Just don't mount it too high -- next to the bracket that holds the efi controller, etc. My bent in the roll, would have probably smashed it.

i would not zip tie the just the wire and have the cherry bomb bouncing around and chaf(sp) the wire. we all know chaffing(sp) sucks

Wally just called me and asked if he could use a steering dampner off a '72 Chevy 3/4 ton...he found a good deal on one from E-bay and he was told in the Honda forum that it would work...

And he wants to know where he can get those colored zip ties...or can he just use black ones and paint them the same color?...

The door piston has got to be the stupidest idea I have ever heard. I won't even get into the technical differences. I tell you what -- you do it --- just make sure someone follows you around with a camera. <_<

The VW stabilizer is not unusual and does work as its supposed to but obviously will not perform as good as a $400 Precision jobby.
Just because it costs heaps doesnt mean its always better though.
I personally wouldnt use one ever but if your on a tight budget !

I totally agree with you -- $$ does not mean performance -- that's why I had my shocks rebuilt -- we have GREAT shocks -- just needed to be valved correctly.

The VW stabilizer has been used --- BUT it IS actually a steering stabilizer.
For someone on a budget -- go with a Denton or the like for under a buck-fifty.

The Precision's performance is UNMATCHED -- Adjustments for the center and sides.
I set mine to the specs -- then firmed it up 1 notch in the center -- Very SWEET.

I am sure the Elka will be nice -- once you send it off to have someone valve it correctly -- ;)

You could say that you get what you pay for - UP TO A POINT - Name branding is a perfect example of this.
Take for instance when Yoshi started sourcing their LTZ rev boxes from Procom - the no name equivalant was around $100 - theirs was way more for the same thing with a yoshi sticker on it !
