Took a while to ge these pix up. Oh well, we all had a great time. It was my first time in sand and all I can say is I can't wait for next year.

Those pics are from Silver Lake MI. We made the 18 hour drive from NH in a '93 Ford Bronco to ride for the weekend, it was a great time.

Damn 18 hours!! It took us last year only 20 and I'm in southwest florida. Why would I drive that far-the Girlfriend has family up there. That was my first time in the sand also. I'm not sure if I could chose between my banshee and the ltr when it comes to dunes though. Guess I'll have to bring both!!! :scoot:

How long do you think you could have spent riding out at Silver Lake before wanting to pack it up?

We make a trip that way every year with the machines, but we've never actually made it out to the sand

it's good, it has a little bit of everything, some tall dunes, some flatland for drags, and some woods too. Only 400 acres of riding area though.

The park several thousand acres. 3600 of that area is for walking and biking....who's going to walk the sand dunes?

I thought somebody said the dunes were 1.5 miles wide and 2 or 3 miles long.

i havent been to pismo since 98 or 99 barely remember what it looks like. :huh:

I had the cherry bomb, no lid, no sparky, running sandstars and I was beating everyone regularly with two exceptions. 1 being a 720 raptor and the other being a piped yfz. I beat a lot of piped yfz's but I could not beat this one guy. He just got a good one from the factory I guess. He beat me EVERY time.
When we did some bigger races I beat a lot of banshees and basically most of the lightly modded quads. There were some fast bikes there though.
