I was out at Pismo beach this weekend and I decided to install the PIM while I was there.. I rode the first day without it and installed it Saturday and I was really shocked. The difference is VERY noticable with my full Yoshi with no spark arrestor and Air Box lid removed... The bike was very strong prior to the PIM with just the Cherry Bomb, but now the throttle respose is night and day and it seems to pull much harder. The front wheels wanted to come up much more under power.. :D

Install was a breeze and did take much more than 30-40 minutes.

I definately think it was money well spent. Next will be to add an intake with a K&N filter and that should just about do it.. I think.....

I would like to see dyno numbers on this. Maybe someone will do it. My bike feels different every time I get on it. I strapped a gps on my bike and did 4 runs on the pavement and got four different top speeds ranging from 74 to 79 mph. Sometimes the thing surges at full speeds other times its smooth. What I am trying to get to is that just because it feels a little better don't mean it is making more power.

I'll have to 2nd that. After my install it seemed to have a bigger hit throughout the RPM range. The PIM map is different than the map the CRBM accesses.

This WILL be my next test. I am going to run my bike with a pipe, no lid, cherry Bomb vs. pipe no lid, and pim installed. Then we will see if it is worth the dough if you are running only a pipe. At the same time i should have runs up with pipe, cams, porting and FIMAK.

my suggestion would be to add a high flowing k&n intake with no airbox to get max flow in and out. Get the most air and fuel in and see what the increases are. The stock intake is jsut garbage. it doesnt get close to what it needs. Especially with the seat on....might as well leave the airbox lid on with the seat. the airbox and filter are super restricting.
