ok....on my quad ive only got the cherry bomb with lid off and baffle removed. However i plan on goin with either an hmf or dasa pipe soon , and later.....intake, cams, porting...possibly higher compression. I would just like to know the advantages of these different efi controllers. i understand that the PIM comes with 2 pre set maps right? but u can download other maps to it?with the fimak??? Now the power commander...is it used with a lap top...cause that i have and wouldnt be a problem....Also just curious, is there any way of reading A/F ratio without a dyno? As far as pipes goes i noticed that the dasa made the most power but the hmf really close and had quite a bit more bottom which could really be useful. Any opinions on that? and with these efi controllers can i tune maybe the dasa to pull a little harder on the bottom end like the hmf? Im new to this efi stuff and really wanna learn some about it before i start tuning. All the mods i plan on doing will be done over a long period of time. Pipe and intake will come soon but cams, and porting and the rest will come way down the road when im just tryin to get every extra hp i can and also have the money to dish out. Any info will really be appreciated. Thanks

First off if you are doing serious mods then go with PIM or PCiii. Now the PIM is programmed with the FIMAK. It has little push buttons on it. No downloads available.

The PCiii, aka powercommander, is the one with downloads. You can down load a map and tune it with your lap top.

You need a A/F gauge to really tune it. No you don't need a dyno but for other options look to Al... it may be cheaper to just dyno your quad though. Of course depending on what you do and your elevation someone may have a map you can use.

Yea what he said...

Only thing I can add is when you do your cams it will make up for any bottom end you need...that little bit from the HMF had over the DASA? You will never feel...trust me..I have a DASA and if you didn't read that chart? You would never know the difference...DASA & PC...you won't be sorry...
