Does anyone know if you use the PIM in conjunction with the Cherry Bomb. I currently have the Air Box removed, UNI filter installed and the cherry bomb plugged in.

However, once my Yoshimura full system RS-5 arrives along with the EMS system, I was wondering if a guy should continue to use the Cherry bomb once the PIM has been installed? Any help would be appreciated!!!!

i assume you use them together b/c they sell a package with the pim. cb, and the fimak. to be safe i would call yosh and ask them what they recomend. i also have the pim on the way and plan on using them together.

I dont think it plugs in where the Cb does. It takes the place of the efi controller and that is a seperate thing. unless im wrong. IF you look under the hood theres already a box there, im pretty sure the PIM takes its place.

I was told that it was a piggy back to the existing ecm. You plug it in where the c/b plugs in. I am pretty sure of that because it is a 6 wire plug and the c/b only has 2 wires. All the c/b is made of is a resistor, that tells the ecm to change fuel maps. The pim is a new fuel map, but still needs the existing ecm.

The plugs are the same for the wiring harness.

Ok I was wrong after reading more on the yosh web sight. The cherry bomb plugs back into the pim. So you do use both of them. The pim is a piggy back unit to the existing ecm. My mistake, sorry.

If you have been following the boards then you know this option is a complete JOKE!

I consistently read how Yosh and Suzuki work so closely and Yosh has millions in R&D and they know what is best, bla, bla, bla...I just wish they could spend about $15 at Kinkos and make some copies of the correct information and lay one on everyone desk that answers the phones! I have read at least 20 different people state they called Yosh and the information is never consistent. Errr...why can this super duper company not get it together and provide consistent factual information to their customers?

With the CRBM it states "race fuel"...can anyone define "race fuel" for me? Is that 100 octane? 110? Leaded? Unleaded? Oxygenated? Non-oxygenated? What about VP U4 (Octane of 92)? Would it not have been easier to state a minimum octane rating? Or, maybe any information on their "race fuel" recommendation...maybe 5 words instead of 2? Just thinking outloud here...
