Just an fyi, we purchased a "Moose" parking brake block off from RMATV and I installed it...the block off plate would still push on the rod that actuates the parking brake. Rolled it around a bit and could tell something was wrong, took it back off and I could see where it was touching so I drilled it out a bit and now it is clears fine.

Probably good for 5HP!

Call me ignorant but what is the purpose of blocking the parking brake. Yes I get that you can no longer use the parking brake but how does this help performance wise?

It drops weight off your bike...every 7 lbs you drop off of it is about 1HP give or take from what Ive been told!

How much weight could this save you, doesnt look like much.
So it is a weight issue and not a performance issue?

IMO the parking brakes on all the 450s are junk...constantly out of adjustment therefore worthless. We have had a problem with ours actually tightening up on its own, unheard of usually they loosen because of pad wear. Anyway ours would squeak pretty often.

I am not sure how much weight you are talking about, maybe a pound???

You remove the part back at the rear brake, the entire cable going to the bars, and the lever/rubber at the bars. Helps with a clean appearance too.

I keep a velcro strap (used for bundling Tcomm wires) around the bar pads of the bikes and when you need a parking brake just strap it on the front brake/hand grip...walla!

Each to their own! ;)
