What would be the best paddles to get and what sizes and number of paddles for drag racing?

Go with 20 inch tires (due to clearance) on an 8 inch .125 wheel with only 6 paddles. I have the 7 paddle on a 10 inch wheel, and I was shown time and time again this past weekend that the 6 paddles on the 8 inch wheels is a faster setup.

6 paddles really dont seam like it would be enough, I was at least thinking 8 paddle haulers and I didn't know what sizes to get, was thinking around 21-10-8. I've got a set of extreme haulers 9 paddles 21-10-8 but I ran those on my banshee and was hoping that would be ok to run but didn't know if I would be over paddling. My mods are yosh slip on, air box lid removed, and cherry bomb. I will be racing 100 yard sand drags and occasional duning so what do you guys think would be my best set up because I'm new to these quads because I havent had anything other than a banshee.

See I could be wrong but it seems like 6 wouldn't be enough hookup, where I race I see most four-strokes running nine to ten paddle haulers and they seem to run fine but I don't know how they do on top-end. I want whatever will do the best for me in a 100yd sand drag race with factory gearing

My 2cents 6 or 7 paddle you will be able to cotrol your starts better.

The motor will rev up easier. Which these motors need and like.

1/3 to 1/2 way down the track you will be totally hooked with no drag on the motor.

Sure a 9 paddle for the first 1/4 of the track will be quicker, if you can keep the front end in control.

Then 9 paddles are dragging down your motor.

Sounds like you have a stock swingarm with no wheelie bar 9 and 10 paddle are out of the question.IMO

I am not a professional but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn last night.

6 paddles for sure. I have beaten every 8 paddle ltr I have raced with alot less mods. They are plain and simple the faster tire on this quad. 20x10x8 6 paddle extreme hauler. DONE

6 paddles...there is more than enough paddle on those tires...we have been out once a month this summer testing tires and stuff and the 6 paddles ALWAYS come out on top...so now we are down to 6 paddle Haulers...Extreme's...or Padda Brats...

We're pretty sure the Padda Brats are the ultimate tire out there right now...uber expensive...but righteously worth the money...

My 2 cents...

Ok my mods are Yosh RS-5 slip on and cherrybomb with the airbox lid removed. So I need to go with 6 or 7 paddle haulers or extremes or paddla brats? Would I need to drop the front tooth one or be fine where it is, could I start n second? where is the cheapest and place to order them, I may go with the brats just need to know where to get them, most places I've seen that have the haulers are I thank 8 paddles and up? Sorry about all the questions, I just want to make sure I'm getting the best for my quad.

For starts and gearing it all depends on how much you weigh. :p I can run stock gearing and launch like hell in 2nd because im so light. Other people will need to gear down. Actually ive run a 15T front before, i dont remember why i changed it back.

i have molded 20'' paddles and a 13T front sprocket and still found it difficult for second gear starts....

mikeltr has a very good setup and has only changed his rear sprocket up one tooth.37T.

up olds over and over and he always had at least a quad length or more on me.....
