This course was about 5.5+/- miles. It was considering the speed. Many of the jumps in the old MX section of the course were very 'peaky'. the jumps were meant to be hit from the opposite direction. We weren't really looking forward to this race, but it turned out to be more fun than we expected. This was the same facility we raced the 12 hour on the dirt bikes back a couple months ago. That course was much longer than this tho.
3-10 mile laps is what we have around here. the 12 hours was a little over 10. we split it up into 1 hour shifts between 4 of us. We are too close to the Peoples Republic of Boulder to be able to find that much land to destroy on our earth boiling machines.
Yup, got lots here. They've killed two people by putting wire across trails, one head completely lopped off. They bitch and moan but when you ask them if they've actually seen the cool stuff out there, they get the deer in headlights look. Some are mtn bikers that get mad at you using blm land. They tried to get it all turned to wilderness but backed off when they were told they wouldn't be able to use it.
This is my Dr. Q custom built Hybrid Quadzilla that I purchased from the person that had it built. This is a picture 3 days after purchase with nothing changed on the bike. The bike is a lot different now as in different rims and Hoosier tires and I went into the motor and changed a few things...
