ok i never had to get numbers before but i would like to get them for my ltr ( since i just got one ) no my question is. can i get any number i want or do u have to sign up for a certin number by the ama ( im deffently signing up for it ) but do u pick the number ? :huh:

You choose your number through AMA...but you have to choose from numbers that haven't been taken yet

You will have to contact the AMA to find out what numbers are available and then register that number that you choose.

ltr450mx17.... sign-up through the ATVA the ATV side of the AMA. Otherwise you probably will get sent more bike crap from the AMA!!! Support our side! Per the rules it states that you should use the last 3 digits of your AMA number that is assigned to you as your member number! I think this is still in effect thru the ATVA, but I know for sure before it was the ATVA, AMA wanted it done this way per the rule book? I think they give you second and third choices if your last 3 digits are already taken?? Anyone else signed up lately?

You guys are lucky. The west coast has mutiple sanctioning bodies running different rules, classes and numbering schemes. I will most likey have atleast 2, probably 3 numbers next year.

But whoever follows the rule book,LMAO!!! I never did as far as my number! I always had a 2 digit number when I signed up at diff. tracks to race. Not even close to the last 3 digits of my AMA #,LOL!
I even got to run #1N a couple times after I won my Ice championships!!! DOH!!! :huh: :lol:
