So I need some help adjusting the valves. If anyone is in sacramento willing to help me free of charge please let me know. after my rebuild I got left with no money and don't work due to college right now so cant bring my ltr 450 to the dealer. I got my valve cover off and everything is set for valve adjustment just cant figure it out. and not sure what to do exactly. Would like it if someone could come help me set top dead center and show me how to check the clearance in person. It is something I want to learn on my own so I don't have to bring it to the shop. I know where to put the feeler gauges but I don't know how smooth its supposed to go in and I don't know if my piston is at Top dead center. The timing mark on the crankshaft when I line it up the lines on the gears of the cams don't line up good. If anyone in sacramento can help please let me know. My number is 916-745-2225

Just contact Hillary Clinton, I'm sure she will promise to get the job done free of charge if you vote for her.

The manual explains it all in detail that an 8th grader can understand. If you do find help they will need to bring their shim kit to donate the needed shims as well.

Im going to explain it to cqr on the phone but im pretty sure my timing might be off. When i lined the "t" line up the cams wouldnt be lined up with dots. Ima check again to make sure i was on the compression stroke and not the other. I think the cams were at 10 and 2 but not positive.

CQR!!! That's a great idea. He really knows his stuff. I text him when I'm out at the dunes trying to do the maintenance that I should have done at home. Be careful tho. If he's been drinkin he may pull specs out of Earl.
