Back in April I bent my frame in an accident, and I've finally been able to get out there and assess the situation. I've done all I can to try and straighten it, and only caused more damage. Unfortunately there's no way around it - I need a new frame.

I already know that I do not qualify for the frame recall, so that's out.

Has anyone had to have their frame replaced? Does anyone know how much this will cost, labor and material? I just need to drop it off somewhere and have it done. I guess the best place would be the dealership, right?

So I guess I'm asking, how much and where? I live in the Houston, Texas area if this helps.

Thanks-

The company he is referring to is Lonestar Racing, very well known aftermarket company

Lonestar Racing

Another option that I'd highly recommend picking up the phone for...is Janssen Motorsports. I know they take OEM YFZ frames, gusset/pc them and sell them for a price half of what Lonestar sells their complete aftermarket frame for. Their site's listed below here, they're customer service is AMAZING; would probably work pretty hard to get you set-up.

Janssen Motorsports

EDIT: Snaked it in before me lil :p

Where are you located Talon?

Thanks. I'll check out Janssen and give 'em a call sometime this week. I checked out Lonestar but didn't see anything.

I am located near Houston, Texas.

Talon, make sure you call the places and not just rely on their websites...LSR has many products they do not even show on their website and I know other compaines are the same...also, if they do not have anything they may know of someone else that does.

new one will set you back about a grand chief.i looked it up on the fische at www.alpha-sports but dont remeber the exact price.i also seen on one of the sheets posted about the recall that dealer price was around 700 so dont be afraid to bargain.
