well sent my shocks to MXtech and had john take a look at them. he put them on his dyno and revalved them for my weight and had the bodies anodized for me. Talking with him he statred that Suzuki has these things valved way wrong but the springs are setup just as well as a triple rate setup acording to his shock dyno!

WOW these are amazing shocks now.i ran down through my little loop behind my house and at first I was telling myself "hmm I thought this trail was a lot more bumpy then this" then i looked at my front wheels and they were bouncing like a MOFO  I still haven't hit any jumps yet but I LOVE what he did with these!!!!!!

Within the next few weeks I will be making a trip up to his shop to ride around his track a few times and we are going to try out a different spring setup he wants to try.

So if you guys are thinking of new shocks you might want to talk to you're shock builder because the stockers can be made a lot better!!!

Thats what i try to tell everybody, oh but no, we still have get Elka or some other shock company. Revalving the stock shocks for riding style, weight and maybe going with less stiff springs can be just as good.

Well for an update... B) yesterday the developer ran a dozer behind the house around my loop to mark some spots for surveying. He created ruts and nasty whoops like holes everywhere

Well i started riding back there and started going faster and faster!!!! WOW these revalved stockers soaked almost everything right up :D The only time I bottomed out the rear was on a fire road they have in a field on the ridge across from me, I was 5th gear pinned and a washout suprised me the fronts soaked it right up but I bottomed out the rear just so slightly.(I'll have to go about a click higher on that compression :D)

The thing that realy suprised me is doing this loop used to wear me out in less then a half hour but today I put a good hour and fifteen on it and wasn't tired at all!!

To say the least I am VERY impressed with the work MX tech did with these shocks :D

here they are on the quad!

Sorry to get back to this so late but just got off the phone with John over there and he stated that for the exact thing that I got is $550...thats all three shocks revalved, run on his suspention dyno so they all match, and the front's bodies anodized.

One thing he said was the rear shock on these are BETTER than any other aftermarket shock out there due to the larger bodies, larger diametershaft, and high and low speed adjustments. But the valving is WAY OFF!!

So if you want to get these stock shocks redone instead of spending a fortune on new shocks give John a call over at MX Tech East Coast Suspention. Tell him Chris sent you and you saw this here at LTR450 Headquarters!!!

I'm not in any hurry or anything, but when you see him again, ask him a price WITHOUT anodizing the shock bodies. I have a white one and I dont think the black would look that great. Maybe an anodized blue if he has it?? Thanks

Or if he could polish it to look like chrome, thatd be cool too. Not sure what all he does, figured I would ask.

Yea he can do them in blue also. I think he said it was 150 less without the anodizinfg but he recomends them to be anodized so the service life of the shock will be longer.

His number is 724-336-3293

Get the chance to Jump it yet? Hows it in that area?
[/b]

They land as smooth as butter. I'll be honest and say I'm not a big jumper but I did miss a landing and it landed smothly and soaked everything up!! :D
